Welcome to the CTS Library!
Here you will find a rich collection of resources on the Bible, history of Christianity and world religions, theology, languages and literature, and the arts of ministry, including counseling.
Equally important are the services offered through the CTS library. A dedicated staff of librarians and student workers are eager to help you with your information needs. Please reach out to us!
All are welcome in the library at Christian Theological Seminary. We strive to meet the ethical standards of the American Library Association and other professional societies concerning equity, diversity, and inclusion; confidentiality; and intellectual freedom.
Please note: Through the end of calendar year 2020, the library will be closed to the public. However, our services are expanding! Below you will find resources for low- and no-contact circulation services, remote reference and research assistance by real-time chat, online tutoring in the Writing Center, and much more.
Search for Materials and Arrange for Curb-side Pick-Up
You can search the CTS Library Catalog for articles, books, and media using the search box below, or by going to https://ctslibrary.on.worldcat.org for more advanced search options.
After finding resources that you'd like to check out, please fill out our Material Request and Curbside Pickup form. We will gather your materials and contact you when they are ready for curb-side pick up. It's that easy! Please note: Materials with either a "ref" or "hr" prefix in the call number are non-circulating. Ask a library staff person to see if there may be other ways of accessing the information you need.
Reserve a Study Space
During the fall semester, the library will allow CTS-affiliated patrons (students, staff, and faculty) access to the library. Patrons may reserve one of five "study spaces" for a two-hour block on Mondays through Thursdays (10 am to 8 pm) or Fridays (10 am to 6 pm). To reserve a space, please click on the button below. You will need a valid CTS email account to reserve a space.
Patrons will be expected to adhere to the following safety protocol during their time in the library.
Chat with a Librarian
The CTS library staff offers online chat support to our patrons on Monday through Thursday (10 am to 8 pm), and Friday (10 am to 6 pm).
